OpenSim An Open Source Virtual World Platform
OpenSim platform is a open source virtual world platform which allows virtual world environments to be hosted behind private firewalls. The ability to plug in client and server technologies makes OpenSim a highly extensible platform. Originally developed to closely follow the Second Life environment, OpenSim does not have the restrictions often associated with that virtual world. The client and server code are publicly available under the BSD license scheme.
Cranial Tap offers a suite of value-added services that make OpenSim an enterprise ready platform. The ability to plug in various physics engines make it an attractive choice for researchers. Data can be imported and used to drive the automated creation of functional objects. Users can then interact the visualized data and explore it in ways never before possible.
